Primary Years Journey Capped with a Successful PYP Exhibition
Year 6 students celebrated their final year of primary with an amazing Primary Years Program (PYP) Exhibition with huge success. The 2019 Exhibitions took place from 7th through 9th May at our Orchard campus and from 27th through 29th May at our Bukit Timah campus.
Students proudly shared their learning about their chosen topics as they exhibited attributes of the IB Learner Profile that have been developing throughout the engagement process. One of the Year 6 students, Vir, quipped “We hope you learn something new about each of our topics and go home feeling like you want to take action on issues just like we have done (and will keep doing!)".
The projects on display were a demonstration and reflection of students' imagination, creativity, interests, responsibility and perspectives and more. Each item was a result of nine weeks of hard work and deep level of collaboration and teamwork amongst each and every group member. Dr. Michael Berry, Head of Primary of Orchard campus said, "As always, the students stepped up and really delivered. Not only at the opening night, but throughout the exhibition process. It is important to remember that the exhibition is a process. From the beginning, the students have worked diligently enabling them to experience success at the exhibition opening...which they certainly did".
We are incredibly proud of their accomplishments. There were cross visits by friends and peers from our Orchard and BT campuses, as with other international schools who also visited the exhibition to glean insights and recognise student achievements. Congratulations, Year 6s!
