Chatsworth to Open an Early Childhood Centre
The beginning of the 2020-21 academic year will see the realisation of a long-held dream of Chatsworth International School in Singapore, the opening of the Chatsworth Early Childhood Centre.
This has been made possible because of a joint commitment by the Board, leadership team and the staff. The timing was driven by the merger of the two Chatsworth campuses and the renovation programme completed over the summer holiday break throughout the Bukit Timah campus.
The Chatsworth Early Childhood Centre is a purpose-built block of three classrooms located at the front of the school, just a few excited hops up the steps from the entry gate to the campus. The location and the design of the centre were chosen and focused on with the very specific needs of our kindergarten students in mind. It is a safe and secure space where inside and outside merge into a creative play-based learning area. The new location allows quick access to an air conditioned area, reserved for the Ks in the canteen and a hard surface area, perfect for riding the tricycles on. Our school library has also been extended to house our very significant young readers collection, a dedicated space for our small children to develop a love of books and reading.
Our three teachers and three teaching assistants working with the K1 and K2 homerooms in this space are really excited about the possibilities. These highly committed and experienced professionals are looking forward to continuing to develop and refine their play-based learning philosophy and pedagogy in what will be a collaborative and supportive environment. They will bring with them the nurturing and holistic environment BT Primary is known for.
Once we have completed this transformation we look forward to showing you around the Early Childhood Centre. Chatsworth has upheld our endeavour to keep our school fees affordable through these years and remains committed to doing so, offering an excellent education at exceptional value.
