Congratulations to our MYP 5 (Year 11) students for the outstanding results achieved in the IB MYP eAssessment 2018. We are proud to announce that our students achieved an impressive average score of 41 points (of 56 possible maximum) when compared to the world average of 32.65. Our top scoring candidate achieved 54 points (of 56 possible maximum) followed by next highest of 53 and 51. 89% of students have been awarded the MYP Certificate. On 1 August 2018, Chatsworth received the keys from German European School Singapore (GESS) to our new Bukit Timah Campus in a Handover Ceremony. A small and intimate affair, it is indeed symbolic and momentous as this marks a major milestone for both our schools. The International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme results were released on 5 July 2018. We are pleased to share that our students performed very well, having achieved an average score of 32 points, above the May 2018 word average of 29.78 points. The pass rate of Chatsworth students who sat for the Diploma examinations is 94%. On 24 May, Chatsworth held the annual graduation ceremony for our Year 13 graduates. At the SEAMC Singapore'18 (South East Asian Mathematics Competition) held in March, Chatsworth was placed 10th out of the 25 participating schools and won several medals. It was the annual School Fair and for our Secondary students, their last fair at the Orchard Campus. With almost the entire campus abuzz with activities, there was something for everyone. There were exciting friendly competitions such as Four Square, tug of war, dodgeball, obstacle run at the astroturf that drew much cheer and laughter. The younger ones loved the variety of crafts and activities in the homerooms. Our talented Secondary students presented an enchanting musical production, "A Christmas Carol" over two evenings on 6th and 7th December. Based on a classic tale by Charles Dickens about the true spirit of Christmas, the story has been adapted into a script by our Head of Department for Arts for 76 Secondary students in Years 9-13 who are involved both onstage and backstage. Our students are the live band, actors, dancers and crew who had been working on the show since August.

What better way to end the semester in December than to celebrate it with a Christmassy concert? Themed 'Elf the Musical' with all things exuding Christmas spirit from stage props/decorations to performances, everyone from East Campus had a whale of a time in the song and dance put up by our Kindergarten to Year 6 students. On 30 November, the entire Orchard Primary School had a very eventful celebration of the Learning Journey Concert. Several weeks and months of efforts put into the concert was paid handsomely with affirmations and praises generously extended by supportive parents and family members.
